Who We Are.
Third Baptist Church is a non-profit, multi-cultural religious organization based in Lawrence, MA. As a church with over 100 years of existence in the Merrimack Valley community, we feel one of the many things in this life we are called to do is serve. Pastored by Rev. Lewis E. Floyd, our primary mission is to spread the Gospel, assist our surrounding communities through outreach and provide a place of worship where all are welcome.

Food Pantry
Our food pantry is one of nine food pantries in Greater Lawrence operated by Neighbors in Need-a community organization that provides food weekly to over 800 families in need. For the past 20+ years, Third Baptist Church has served as the food pantry site for the Tower Hill community.
Currently, the food pantry is still operating in the church’s parking lot during the pandemic on Friday’s at 8:30 am. For questions, contact Neighbors in Need at (978) 685-8321.
Women’s Ministry
Women’s ministry allows a space for all women to come together and study the bible. The primary focus is to study the women in the bible. We want to understand the stories of these women and turn that lesson into a message that relates to the women of today. We hope that through our ministry we can encourage, empower and uplift all women.
This ministry is open to women from all walks of life, all denominations and non church going women. In addition to our studies, we undertake one mission assignment each year. That mission is to help an organization or group within the Merrimack Valley community. We do so by sponsoring fundraisers, like our Annual Christmas Concert and our Annual Women’s Day.

Christian Education Committee
The Christian Education Committee is responsible for promoting, supervising, presenting and developing curriculum for the congregation in their christian development and missionary education.
They recommend and provide training for any workers and volunteers who participate in church events and activities. The committee is also responsible for the organization, advisement and implementation of all programs related to the youth ministry, adult education, Bible study and discussion programs.
Men’s Ministry
The purpose of the men’s ministry is to to honor Christ through worship, grow in Christ by studying His word and to connect men to Christ with fellowship.
Our mission is to encourage men to allow the character of Christ to be developed in every aspect of their lives.
We do so by supporting the needs of Third Baptist Church and our Pastor through prayer, service and presence.
The men’s ministry also sponsors the Church’s monthly movie night, free to all who wish to attend.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at Third Baptist is a vibrant one where members involved seek to lift up and worship the name of the Lord in song, instrumentals, and dance and to encourage the Church to draw nearer to God through the expression of music.
Each Ministry Member uses their unique and God-given talents in support of this work. Elements of the Music Ministry include The praise and worship team, the recorder choir, the youth choir, the Third Baptist Church choir and our Annual Christmas Concert.
